Chiringuito Calamar: Party!

Brazilian type parties, live music, salsa, house... party guaranteed. All night dancing with feed in the sand!

It is an awful long drive (and without car almost impossible) through no mans land but the Prat de Llobregat beach area is worth a night visit.
Several worthwhile beach shacks with chill out in the sand lined up to enjoy several music styles (see as well El maravillas). But the last in row, Chiringuito Calamar has an absolute Brazilian like beach party atmosphere and unbeatable to dance barefooted in the sand! So close to the airport, it´s unreal to see ones in a while a plane take off from very close by but with the noise over-tuned by the music!

BOO, here to stay?

After dinner in La Royale, we checked out the new opened club BOO, on La Nova Mar Bella Beach (hoping to get the new reference in town). We might have come the wrong night but we did not live it filling up at all...yet...the location is promising and original, the "tent" set up a bit disappointing. Rest of decoration with beach-beds gave a "love boat deck" idea...The restaurant is huge but we did not try it yet.  We might have to check it out several times more to see if we really will get to recommend it, also for groups...

La Royale, Gin Tonics and Hamburgers

A unique combination in a special environment. A quite little square in Sant Gervasi neighborhood, very serious professional Gin Tonic expert and high quality hamburgers (ecological). You can actually order your Gin Tonic just how you like it, sweet, dry, flowery, green apple, grapes,....for every wish is a special mix of brands of Gin and Tonic possible. We had a great night in La Royale!

Hotel Banys Oriental

We normally don´t stay in hotels, living here, so we can´t really give "first hand experience" advice...so we decided to change this! We stayed a night in Hotel Banys Oriental, absolutely recommendable! Best location in the cuttest Born neighboorhood, very nice room/breakfast, price-quality super!

 

Mar de Cava: art, disseny, artesania

This really fabulous shop, just opened by Mar de Cava, with all amazing interior (and some exterior) design items. Beds, lamps, sofas, chairs, closets, accessories,....of international designers from all over the world!

Mac Arena Mar Beach Club. don´t bother...

Also not worth to mention experiences count...especially if you plan to make the trip to this very out-skirted Forum beach, to visit the new supposed hit: Mac Arena Beach Club. To start: don´t go in Family formation, but go looking fabulous and rich. And then you might be allowed on their sunbeds (minimum 200€) or in the beach restaurant area, looking alright but don´t try to look around because the beach and surroundings are just not beautiful. Might be better experience in the dark going for real open air clubbing...

Nakashita

Absolute cute and worth the money Japanese restaurant Nakashita, hidden in the Born neighborhood. Reservation recommended!
